This hotel, or at least this hotel's phone number, was imortalized in the 1930s by Glenn Miller's "Pennsylvania 6-5000." It was at the time an important stop for the big bands and, for those on the road, was conveniently located, being near Penn Station. Today it is conveniently located close to the Jacob K.
